IPv4 address lookup help...?

i was at my friends house and i need to allow remote desktop and have his ipv4 address to access his pc from my pc,but in cmd he doesn麓t have ipv4 address, can i use his ip address instead of ipv4 to access?|||there are two address namely local network and public network. local is something like 172.128.x.x or 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x. it will not be possible to access such address unless you are in same network, i,e connected by a hub or a switch. but in case you have his pubic add you can access it though internet. in cmd you get to see only private address unless you have paid to get a static ipv4 address.|||looks like you are not clear with the term ipv4. it means that the address will be in the form xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx i,e four set of number. where as ipv6 will have 6 sets of number like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. we all use ipv4 add

To connect remote desktop you must have the public add. mail me 4 info
