I installed a Public IP but it is showing a private IP in my IP address lookup?

I installed a public IP recently. Previously it was private IP. Im my ip address lookup the IP address was same as i Installed, but know it is showing my previous ip(private/Dynamic). How to correct this problem. I have checked my setting they are all ok. scince i am using linux it show's public IP on login screen. But in my ip address lookup it is showing the private which i stalled previously.


The service provider is same for my public IP and private IP.





Can any one help me fix this problem.|||Sounds like you are behind a router and it is setting your machine's ip. The static ip is most likely assigned to the gateway. (router, hub etc.)|||It is better that u can check with the router and also whether it is a static ip or dynamic ip. You can check your ip address lookup from http://www.ip-details.com/

|||IF you have any Internet lease line, only than you can give public ip. otherwise u must give private ip.|||First what you do is remove the private ip and then restart the system and then assigne a public ip then restart the sytem it will solve the problem.
